A wind of change is blowing through the streets of Berlin. The German capital, always a hub of cultural avant-garde and social movements, has become the epicentre of the new cannabis era in Europe. This isn’t a subtle shift but a profound transformation, driven by the historic CanG Act, which has redefined the rules and positioned Germany as the continent’s most important cannabis market. In this newly liberated and vibrant context, one event stands out as the focal point of this revolution: Mary Jane Berlin 2025.

Since Kannabia was founded in 2009, our philosophy has always been to stay close to the community, listening to their needs and evolving with them. And we couldn’t have chosen a more significant moment for our debut than this historic event. This year, for the first time, Kannabia arrives at Mary Jane Berlin. We’re not just taking part: we’re here to celebrate, to share, and to engage with the German and European cannabis community at an unmissable gathering from 20th to 22nd June. We can’t wait to meet you right in the thick of the action!

Find us at Stand #6B in Hall 20!

In the midst of this celebration, the Kannabia team will be waiting to welcome you with open arms. We want our stand to feel like your home at Mary Jane Berlin, a meeting point where we can share our passion for this plant. Make a note of our location: Stand #6B, Hall 20. Come and say hello, meet the team behind your favourite genetics, and dive into the world of Kannabia.

At our stand, you’ll be able to discover the latest additions to our catalogue, including legendary feminised seeds, fast autoflowering strains, innovative Go Fast varieties, and our carefully curated collection of seeds with special cannabinoids. Our experts will be on hand to answer your questions, advise on the best genetics for your grow, and hear about your own growing experiences.

To mark our debut in Berlin with a bang, we’ve organised a very special raffle at our stand. Just for taking part, you’ll receive a guaranteed prize (while stocks last). We want you to take away a memory of this historic gathering!

The Workshop You Can’t Miss: Germination in the Age of CSCs

If you’re short on time and can only attend one activity at the entire fair, make sure this is the one! On Friday 20th June, from 12:00 to 13:00 at the Interactive Stage, Kannabia is hosting an interactive workshop that goes well beyond a simple talk about growing. This is a hands-on session designed specifically to meet the needs of Germany’s new growers and the emerging Cannabis Social Clubs.

With self- cultivation as the main legal route of access, mastering the germination phase is the first and most crucial step in ensuring a successful harvest. That’s why we’ve decided to focus our workshop on effective germination tips and techniques. Leading the session will be Matías Zúñiga Fernández and Tobias Streng, two experts with extensive experience in the world of Kannabia seeds. They represent a perfect blend of Spanish expertise in genetics and German knowledge of advanced cultivation techniques.

Tobias is a representative of Greenkeepers Leipzig e.V., one of the very first associations to receive a full licence and to begin operating as a Cannabis Social Club in Germany. Rather than talking about the theory, they will be sharing practical, first-hand experience from the front lines of legalisation, where they’ve had to face the same challenges as any home grower or CSC. This is exclusive, invaluable knowledge that no other seed bank will be offering at Mary Jane Berlin.

But you won’t only be learning from their insights during the workshop: we will also be introducing Sproutly and demonstrating it live on stage. This is our latest innovation, designed to revolutionise the germination process — the perfect tool to ensure every grow begins with maximum strength!

More Than a Fair: A Festival for the History Books

To truly grasp the scale of this event, you need to understand what Mary Jane Berlin is. Far from being just a trade fair, Mary Jane has established itself as the biggest and most diverse cannabis event in the world.

The figures for 2025 speak volumes: over 60,000 visitors and more than 500 international exhibitors are expected to gather at the immense Messe Berlin venue, which spans over 70,000 square metres. This change of location from previous years wasn’t a choice but a necessity due to the overwhelming popularity seen in 2024, proving the intense enthusiasm that legalisation has unleashed.

What makes Mary Jane Berlin so unique is its hybrid format. On one hand, it is a top-tier business conference, with the opening day (19th June) dedicated entirely to B2B activity and the “International Cannabis Business Day”, held in collaboration with major industry players.

On the other, Mary Jane is a vibrant cultural festival that celebrates the cannabis plant in every form. The gardens at Messe Berlin will be transformed into a live music haven (with acts like Samy Deluxe, Haiyti, Marvin Game, and Antifuchs), with chill-out areas for unwinding and a community spirit that can be felt in every corner.

Inside the venue, the aisles will be packed with the latest innovations in grow technology, vaporisers, medical applications, hemp-based cosmetics, CBD products, and of course, the finest genetics in the world. The 2025 edition won’t just be the biggest — it will also be the most organised, secure, and impressive to date. Being there means witnessing the maturity of an entire industry!

Clementine Slush: A refreshing experience that’s full of energy!

A vibrant fusion of three legendary strains, Clementine Slush delivers a burst of Mediterranean mandarin flavor, complemented by subtle earthy undertones. This pure vitamin C cannabis offers a revitalizing effect, transforming any day into a sensory celebration.

Germany’s New Legal Cannabis Landscape

The buzz surrounding Mary Jane Berlin is driven by a legislative shift that has shaken the foundations of drug policy in Europe with the Cannabis Act (CanG). Passed in 2024, this law represents a paradigm shift based on a two-pillar model, the first of which is already transforming the daily lives of millions of people.

This first element, which came into effect on 1 April 2024, decriminalises possession and personal cultivation. Adults aged 18 and over can now legally possess up to 25 grams of cannabis in public spaces, and up to 50 grams at home. But the most groundbreaking change for our community is the right to grow up to three plants at home for personal use. Not only does this give users autonomy but also drives an unprecedented demand for high-quality genetics and growing knowledge.

The second legal access point is through Cannabis Social Clubs (CSCs). These are non-profit associations that can grow and distribute cannabis to their members. This model, which became active on 1st July 2024, is subject to strict regulations: a maximum of 500 members per club, residency requirements, distribution limits of 50 grams per member per month (with THC restrictions for those under 21), and a ban on consumption within the club premises.

A year after implementation, the impact of the law is clear. It has ended the criminalisation of minor offences and freed hundreds of thousands from the stigma of prosecution. However, challenges remain.

The rollout of CSCs has been slow, hampered by complex bureaucracy and inconsistent regulations between federal states. Even months after the law came into force, the number of licensed and fully operational clubs remains limited.

This creates a significant gap between the demand for legal cannabis and the supply available through the clubs. In practice, this means that for most German citizens, home growing is currently the only viable and legal option — making it the cornerstone of German legalisation.

This is where Kannabia’s mission becomes so important. We’re not just selling cannabis seeds: we’re providing the key that allows German citizens to exercise their new rights safely and effectively.
