Welcome to the new blog section of our website, Kannabist friends!
Cannabis cuisine is booming and gaining unprecedented popularity, as many other uses of this plant are, in this time. Since we didn’t want to be left behind when it comes to bringing the best information possible, we are launching this new section of the blog dedicated exclusively to the preparation of the best cannabis recipes so we can enjoy another of the multiple uses of marijuana.
One of the best ways to include cannabis in our everyday recipes is by using marijuana-infused ingredients combined with others that are used daily for cooking. In this recipe, we recommend adding cannabis-infused margarine to the preparation.
On this occasion, we will show you how to make delicious blueberry ‘cannamuffins’. The final result will surprise and delight you!
- 4 tablespoons of margarine or cannabis-infused margarine (not decarboxylated),
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence or ½ of concentrated vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt
- 2 oz. of warm milk flavored with cloves
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ cup of blueberries lightly coated with flour
First, we need to preheat the oven at 165°C. During this time, we can proceed with the ingredients preparation.
Start by placing the cannabis-infused margarine in a bowl. Then, whisk the egg white together with the sugar and the vanilla essence. After this, add the egg yolk and keep beating the mixture for another 5 minutes.
When the dough gets a creamy texture, it’s time to change to the mixing paddle (in case you are making the preparation using a food processor) so you can start incorporating all dry ingredients in three steps, alternating with liquid ingredients, and always ending with the dry ones.
Next, add the blueberries and use flour to lightly coat them and avoid the berries to fall down to the bottom of the mixture.
Now, the mixture is ready so you need to fill the muffin molds with it using vegetable paper or aluminum foil. This is the time when we decorate each of the muffins with two or more extra blueberries, or any other ingredient, depending on your taste preferences.
And now the last step: bake them for approximately 24-26 minutes until they are golden brown.
Be extra careful not to over bake them since this could affect the final texture and mouthfeel.
The expected result should look like this:
We hope you have enjoyed this preparation as much as we did.
On this occasion, we have opted for the combination of blueberries and vanilla, but remember that both ingredients can be changed or combined with others that you choose yourself or that you like more.
We invite you to experiment with other varieties!
Enjoy it, Kannabist friends!
